Where is your office located?

I am currently offering telehealth therapy as I am traveling internationally. If you want to meet in person, it could be a fun excuse to come and visit!

I sometimes will be either in the Boise area or Sun Valley and would be happy to do an outdoor session with you, weather permitting. Feel free to ask where I am!

What are your hours?

I typically see clients Monday – Thursday and do admin work on Fridays. Occasionally, I will offer a one-off appointment outside of my regular hours if needed.

How long are the sessions?
Sessions are 55 minutes, but I will talk with you and determine what feels best for you.
What insurance do you accept?
Currently, I accept Blue Cross of Idaho, Pacific Source, and Select Health.
How do I set up an initial appointment?

You can book a consultation by calling or using this link. I like to have a conversation beforehand to ensure it feels like a good fit.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require 24 hours’ advanced notice. Of course, I understand that emergencies arise, and I am willing to be reasonable. I am happy to elaborate more if you need extra information.

With what age ranges do you work?
I am happy to work with any age, but I have found that teens and young adults (13 – 45) tend to feel the best. If you are outside this range and my website speaks to you, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Do you only work with males?
I find my focus is primarily on males, but I occasionally work with females as well. I have worked with quite a few individuals developing their gender identities.
What do you do in sessions with clients?

I have a page called How I Work that describes this in better detail. Most of my sessions follow the process of checking in, having it open to whatever is most vital for you to discuss. We then have set treatment goals we check in on and a psychoeducational component. I also like to make things experiential when possible, too.

Do your clients receive assignments to work on between sessions?
I recommend that my clients work between sessions. Though it is never a requirement, clients who work between sessions have the best results.
What modalities do you use in your client work?

I am very eclectic and use quite a few different approaches so that I can tailor them to the client. I do Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strength-Based Solution-Focused Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and mindfulness training, to name a few.

What is your professional training and experience?
I have been helping clients since 2011. I received most of my training through Capella University, getting a master’s in general Mental Health Counseling. I do at least 20 accredited hours (quite a bit more in reality) of continuing education credits every year, tapping into the newest and most evidence-based practices.
Can you prescribe medication?
No, I do not prescribe medication. I can, however, talk to you about that process if that is something you are interested in pursuing. In most cases, talking with a psychiatrist is the best approach.
What do you like to do for fun?

I enjoy traveling and experiencing different cultures. I have fun in the outdoors, and you can find me pack rafting, mountain biking, scuba diving, and hiking, among many other adventures.

Other things I enjoy are going to concerts and eating delicious meals. Most of all, I enjoy profoundly connecting with others. Happy to share more; just ask!

If you have any more questions, please feel free to contact me. I’d be happy to explain anything regarding my private practice you are curious about.
